Maroon 5's Adam Levine Placed on Vocal Rest Due to Laryngitis

Maroon 5's tour schedule, plus Adam Levine's separate schedule promoting his new fragrance, has finally taken its toll.  Adam's come down with laryngitis, and has been placed on vocal rest for 24 hours.

The group played in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Monday night, where according to MLive.com, Adam told the crowd that it was the first time he'd ever performed a show where "the notes just don’t come out.”  As a result of his laryngitis, the band performed for just 70 minutes, cutting their set short by about four songs.

"My apologies to our fans in Grand Rapids tonight. First case of laryngitis. I HATE not being 100% for you. But we still had fun! #THANKYOU," tweeted Adam afterwards.  He added, "On vocal rest for the next 24 hours. This means a lot of tweets. I apologize in advance."  Then he issued a demand for "blueberry pancakes with tons of butter and maple syrup."  "I want them NOW," tweeted the singer.
